The New York Theatre Experience, Inc. (NYTE) is a nonprofit corporation with a mission to use new and traditional media to support and advocate for the American theatre. NYTE operates the popular website, nytheatre.com, and is the producer of New York's first original, regularly scheduled podcast about theatre (nytheatrecast). Since 2000, NYTE has published a yearly anthology of plays by emerging playwrights, the PLAYS AND PLAYWRIGHTS series.

NYTE was incorporated in New York State in 1999. The Executive Director is Martin Denton. In 2006, 86% of all revenues were used to fund the programs mentioned above.
